Hi
Thought my message will give hope to the many who are still stuck at brick walls, and also express mt thanks for the help given.

Wonderful news for me in tracking in down a link to my relatives in Canada. this very kind Roots Chatter, gave me names & addresses to contact, and Bingo, I struck gold, I am so grateful for that help, I`ve been searching for a link for some years now and was almost on the point of giving up.
Now I`ve been given fresh hopes of getting through some of the remaining brick walls that still exist, it just needs a clue.

How thankful I am for the help of others, there are so many kind people out there. I try whenever possible to see if I can be of help to someone, I cannot answer many of their questions, but sometimes I can find a little clue, and it does give me pleasure to know that I`m paying back in a small way for the help I`m being given.
My grateful thanks once more, especially for this site giving the opportunity for the help to be given.

I have had more help than I could ever imagined. Look ups in census's that I don't have access to and parish registeres that even the Mormons don't know about!
Lots of really helpful, friendly people.

I too had information from parish records, a baptism that did not appear on the IGI site, I had searched all of that looking for an ancestor (my gt gt grandmother) eventually, with the help of a very kind lady trascribing the Buckinghamshire baptisms, I finally found her, baptised in 1814, I was then able to piece together more about her family, but this is still ongoing, many details yet to be discovered, her father was a soldier in the East Indies for over 15 years and I`m now searching for more children, possibly they were born overseas, but I have yet to find out. I also need to find out when & where her father died, he was not in the army then, having asked for his discharge, and as a result lost his pension.

Because however, I have many other facts to dig out, this section has been left on hold for a while until I can devote more time to it, and also find out where I can obtain more info.
This is the fascinating aspect of family research, there is never an end to it, is there.
