Hucknall under Huthwaite ????? COMPLETED

In my research I have several addresses as "Hucknall Huthwaite" or "Hucknall"
or "Hucknall under Huthwaite".
I know the area and Hucknall and Huthwaite aren't really next door to each other.
Can anyone clarify this for me - is it Hucknall or is it Huthwaite ?

 they are census in 1861 - 1871 - 1881 for William Bower b. 1859 Hucknall.
Bennett, Tennant, Richards, Price.....Staffordshire
Reid, Brown, Harrison, Saunders, Coetzer........South Africa and Scotland.

Bigjon, This page explains the origins of Huthwaite and Hucknall under huthwaite. Seems they may be the same place.

Suprisingly looking at the Huthwaite link above there are some of the trade directories for Huthwaite from 1828 -1941. What a treasure for anyone researching family in this village.

                      a very interesting site  . I notice there is no mention of any connection to Hucknall which is several miles away. I will treat all these references as " Huthwaite ".
