Hi Felicity,

Thanks so much for the information - I learnt one or two things I was previously unaware of ,which might lead me to further discoveries.

Thank you for taking the time to search for them for me.

Hi Felicity

I have been trying to locate Sarah Streeton born Croxton Kerrial in 1872.  I can locate her in the 1881 census and also in the 1901 Census when she married but no luck for 1891(she is my grandmother).  It has been said that she was a child's maid or nurse for a doctor, but I don't know if that is correct.   I do know she was in service with a cleryman in the years 1884 - 1887 but I don't know where she went them.

Many thanks

Hi Felicity
I realise you are really busy but wondered if you could look up a family for me on the 1871 & 1891 Census.

The family I am interested in is George BUNTING & wife Martha Maria.  George was married in 1870 Dewsbury.  I have the 1881 details and they had a son William born 1871.  Their other children in 1881 were Albert, Hannah E, Rose E, & Beatrice.  By 1901 they added Clarenda b1882, George b 1885, Blanche b1887, & Elsie b1890.

I am hoping that George Bunting's sister Susannah (my great grandmother) is with him as she married 1877 in Dewsbury & is not with her family in Norfolk in 1871.  George was born 1850 Horstead Norfolk.

Would be grateful for any information you can get from the 1871 & 1891 Census.

Many thanks in advance

Sue

Hi Felicity

Thanks you very much for the information.  Sorry to be a pain but did you note te census reference details.  If so I would be grateful for them.  I like to note the reference to verify where the information can be found.

Susannah Bunting was born 1854 Horstead, Norfolk, she would probably show up as aged 16 as her birthdate is late 1854.  She was single in 1871. Her name has been shown as BUNTON in a previous census so maybe her brother and her could have been transcribed under that name.

Don't go to any trouble Felicity, I am grateful for the information you found from the 1891.

Again, thanks for your help it is appreciated.

Best wishes
Sue

Hello Felicity, please could you look up 9 Portsdown Road, London (in Maida Vale area)., for a JOSEPH RODNEY CROSKEY, wife SARAH and any children.  This road is now known as Randolph Avenue. Family were there in 1881, so please try 1871.
You are an angel!
Many thanks,
Linda in Bantry, Co.Cork
