Now lets try to explain this a little better
I am descended from a HEDGES family who lived for a while in Chatham and was contacted recently by a lady in Australia. She is the granddaughter of Henry HEDGES and Margaret BOSWELL it is for her that I am trying to find out about her BOSWELL line. I only know that her Henry HEDGES was born and lived in Chatham.
I am  sure the marriage was in Chatham as it was registered in Medway. I can ask the Lady for the exact details but this will take some time. I know it's not much to go on, but I don't thing she knows much more.
Thanks Jenny

PaulineJ I didn't answer that very well. Yes they were living in Chatham in 1914 at the time of their marriage. I have no idea where John BOSWELL was from. ;D

bearkat I thought this was the Travelling People board

hey nenefer, yes  :o Margaret ( noony ) Boswell was married to my nans brother Henry. she died in childbirth. the funeral was held at my nans house in Best St. Chatham. The huge procession walked from there to Palmerstone Road cemetry where she is buried. most of her daughters went to australia. one lives in Norwich. she has a picture of her. l will telphone her. She will be able to tell you much more. Whats the connection? l am getting more and more excited by the minute.

Hi everyone,
I've just read about the Hedges family. I believe Henry Hedges, married in 1914 to Margaret Boswell,
is related to me. They had quite a large family, although several babies died at birth. I would be
grateful if anyone else knows of this family. They lived in the Medway area UK.
Joyce.
