Swiss national in UK Forces

My Grandmother was one of only three Swiss Nationals serving in our forces in WW2. She came to England from Bern, Switzerland about 1938/9 and got stuck here because of the war. She married my Grandfather, John James Barnard in 1942.
She was a Barrage Balloon operator. Unfortunately that is all I know. If anyone knows more I would really appreciate it.
