« on: Saturday 28 February 09 02:31 GMT (UK) »
Looking for Charles GRANT born c 1806, a cooper/brewer and his wife Susannah, born c 1808 both born Long Sutton, Lincolnshire

In 1851 and 1861 they were living in St. Ives, Huntingdonshire, but can't see them there or anywhere else in 1841, hope someone with fresh eyes can find them

Thanks for looking
Barbara

Charles Grant 35 years occupation tailor or sailor? (page badly faded)

Susanna (faded) 29 years

Hello Mrs F

Thanks so much for looking, I'm not too hopeful that this is the family, as there are no children with them in 1851, their birthplaces are Lincolnshire not Hampshire, and Charles is a brewer, however I never discount anything

Just checking now to see if I can find this family in 1851 to try to eliminate them

Many thanks,
Barbara

IGI has a baptism for Benjamin GRANT  29 Jan 1841      Saint Maurice, Winchester, Hampshire - parents     Charles GRANT and Louisa  - so the Susanna on the 1841 should actually read Louisa, I agree it was hard to read

So sadly, not the couple I'm looking for  :-\

Thanks for your help
