for a David childs born  at dean  in 1837 thankyou.he was a widow when he was 40ish

As you know, he was unmarried in 1861.  But by 1871 he was married to Harriett living in Raunds Northants. Harriett age 29 b Hargrave Northants, with eldest child aged 9. But I can't see a marriage on FreeBMD, which presumably should have taken place 1861-2

There's a Harriet Childs death age 31 in the December quarter 1873 in Thrapston registration district, which includes Raunds.

i looked on BMD myself and  couldnt find a marriage,perhaps they wasnt,i have a son charles childs is that the one you have? but i have him down as born 1855,i think there was more,sorry my printer isnt working at present so unable to print anything out so  going on memory.

Children in 1871 were Charles 9 born Hargrave; Louisa 5 b Raunds; Lilly 3 b Raunds; Adelaide 1 b Raunds
