Griffiths in Bryneglwys - help needed

 i hoping someone can help me get information on my ancestor Evan Griffiths

All i know is...

He was born c. 1839 - according to his marriage certificate  - the son of Thomas Griffiths
i have found him (i think!) in 1851 an "Errand Boy" living in Rhos Ucha, Llanarmon- in - yale age 11
he married a Catherine Jones
but i am trying to find a little further back befor the marriage in 1862
Can anyone shed some light for me...

i am looking for info on Evan Griffiths
He was the father of one of my ancestors Mary ELLEN Griffiths. i have not been successful in finding him anywwhere (except his marriage, andEllen's marriage cert)

i have in my possesion a marriage certificate for 1862
he is 23 years old, a farm servant , living in "Fron Haul" father is Thomas - a farm labourer.
The marriage took place in Llanarmon.
so.. the 1861 census looks good 
the age then, alters slightly
1861 (20) b.1841
1862 (23) b. 1839
1891 (49) b. 1841

when i went onto the LDS site .. i found only one Evan Griffiths (1838-1842)
"Maes Maelor - Brymbo, Denbighshire"
Evan (40) Occ: Iron Stone Miner b. Bryn Eglwys
Catherine (42) b. Derwen Denb.
John (18) Occ: Coal Mine Labourer B.Derwen
Jane A (12) Occ: Scholar b. Brymbo
Margaret (10) Occ: Scholar b. Brymbo
William (3) B. Brymbo
* - john tallies, William, is slightly off.
But i still cant find Mary Ellen

What details do you have on Mary Ellen, her  age , where was she living at her marriage. Who did she marry.
I wouldn`t worry too much about the census ages varying, my ancestor had a range of 8 years  and place of birth was 3 different villages, luckily he was only Thomas Wilcoxon in Wales.

1890 - marriage age 20 (1870)
1891 Census age 21 (1870)
1911 Census age 39 (1872)

can't find her before these dathes - but the census you have found i believe are the right ones, i know she had a brother called Ishmael.b 1847
 the issue is i can't get hold of her birth certificate, i have made numerous attempts.
