A Bryneglwys Jones - help!
« on: Saturday 28 February 09 20:51 GMT (UK) »
i have yet again been confronted by another jones family!

Help Really needed

I am looking for the family and details about my ancestor
Catherine jones

Problem is i have inconclusive names and dates, according to census records
in 1881 - aged 42 (Born: Derwen Denbighshire)d.o.b = 1839
in 1871 - aged 31 (Born: Bryneglwys) = d.o.b = 1840
in 1862 at her marriage - age 26 of Accre = d.o.b = 1836

all i do know for sure on her marriage to Evan Griffiths in Llanarmon - in - yale
Her father was John jones - a Miller
witnesses were Joseph Jones and Catherine Davies

Can anyone help me further my reserch, as i am tying myself in nots! (as always)

Thank you for your time
 :)  :)  :)

Did I look for these before* or was it the one we thought might be worth checking Llanarmon yn Ial?

I'm getting confused with your lines now  :-\

MY Bryneglwys records only go to 1812. It will have to be a BMD search or hope that Paul could look in the parish registers circa 1835-1840.

I'll have a look in the 1841 census.

I'm not getting anything definite on the 1841 or the 1851  :-\  I thought I'd found one on the 1851 in Derwen but her father (a John Jones) was a Blacksmith.

Hi Betton

Sorry - on this one, I don't have the parish records after 1812 so it would mean someone looking at a Records Office for all three parishes (Derwen, Bryneglwys and Llanarmon yn Ial).

I did look for her on the 1841 or 1851 but didn''t get anything positive. I'll have another look but not promising anything.
