MOFFAT + STEWART - Clermont, QLD

Hi to all my fellow researchers.
Can anyone help me find Nancy Moffat (nee Stewart)?
I only have my parent's wedding certificate:
Donald Stewart Moffat married Ruth Sullivan 1949 Cessnock NSW.
Parents listed as Alexander Moffat and Nancy Stewart (deceased).
I have no information at all on these two people.
Nancy died between 1929 and 1949.
Alexander and Nancy have one known son:
Donald Stewart Moffat born Clermont Queensland c. 1929.
I would greatly appreciate any help with this.
Every little bit helps.

Dear Abi,
I have found this marriage in the Qld BDM for 1925.......however her name is not Nancy but Mary and her surname is listed as Moffat!!!

Moffatt,Robert Stewart Douglas   
married
Moffat,Mary
The reference number is B38710

However, the "Stewart" may be an indication that this is the right family if not the right parents.

Also found this in Qld BDM's

In 1912 Alexander Moffat    Married Nellie Stewart
The reference Number is B12695

This could be a brother of Alexander Moffat (father of Donald).

The names Stewart and Douglas are repeated in our family.

Just found a Moffat(T) with a Douglas middle name birth in Qld BDM's in 1900 reference no C4216

Alexander Douglas Moffatt   born to Alexander Moffatt and Edith Charlotte Voisey

I believe that this could be a relative too, but until I find the connection, no way to be sure. 

There is also another Donald Stewart Moffat who married Helen Beattie.  They had a daughter Helen Moffat who died in 1929 in Queensland.  This could be our family too.  Wish I knew!

I have uncles and brothers Robert, Douglas, Alexander, Roy, etc.
But I also know these are traditional names in Scotland.

Everything sounds so enticingly close, but I need to be sure.

I will check out every lead you provide.

Can't find any trace of Nancy Moffat nee Stewart 1929 -1949.
Have been searching for death or burial or census - anything.

I will try to contact Clermont QLD Historical Society? re burials.

Donald Stewart Moffat died 1995, buried near Rockhampton QLD.

No further information regarding family there, that I could connect.

I am not an experienced researcher - could have missed things.

That is why I am seeking help from more experienced people.

There is a Nancy Stewart who was born in NSW in 1908. Here is the NSW BDM link

There are no births for Alexander Moffat/t listed in NSW from 1880-1908, nor any marriages for them between 1900-1940

The Qld BDM's might give you more joy

However, There is no Nancy Stewart Birth between 1880-1914 and I have given you the Alexander Moffatt below.

At the top of the Australia Board is a list of great resources.........have you thought perhaps that they may have immigrated?
