Armstrongs of Uppertown, Kirklinton, Cumberland

Hi,  I am looking for any information relating to the Armstrongs of Uppertown, Kirklinton, Cumberland in the late 1600s and the 1700s. 

In particular, I am trying to find the mother of a Thomas Armstrong baptised at Kirklinton in 1749.  He also had a sister Rachel born in 1746.  The father's name (Thomas) was listed on the parish record), but not the mother.   I haven't been able to find a marriage for Thomas.  I think he was baptised at Kirklinton in 1719. 

There were a quite few Armstrongs in the Kirklinton parish records all recorded as being of Uppertown.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm also looking for Armstrong records from around the same time and place, particularly David Armstrong, christened at St Cuthberts, Kirklinton, on 22 Feb 1756.  My ancestor, David A, was born in 1754.  We are trying to find out whether this is the same guy.  The record of David at Kirklinton says his father was Andrew Armstrong and his mother was Dousable Sowerby.  They were married in Arthuret, Cumberland, on 10 Feb 1742.
