Marriage look up please COMPLETED
« on: Friday 06 March 09 13:00 GMT (UK) »
On the 1851 census I have Joseph Brown married to Margaret Girling.  I have looked for their marriage on FBMD and found her.
Margaret Girling Sep 1/4 1849 (3 169) Hackney.  All fits very nicely buuuut
looking on FindMyPast BMD there is no entry for Joseph with the same details!
can anyone find the match?
Thank you,
Abiam

What is the 1851 census entry in full?
What gives the Bride as  Girling?

There are quite a few marriages of a Margaret GIRLING in the 1840s on FreeBMD but only one with a Joseph BROWN on the same page.

Jun quarter 1847, Rotherhithe, Surrey, Vol 4, Page 382

Pauline and JAP,
Thank you,
I think I only put Middlesex to search and I imagine you must have put 'All' and come up with Surrey.  Just shows how wrong you can be!  I was convinced it would have been M'sex.
Thanks again,
Abiam
