Brown Street
« on: Friday 06 March 09 20:27 GMT (UK) »
I have through this site, found that my Gt.uncle moved from Wexford to Carlow in the late 1920s.  He had a turf accountants shop in Dublin Street.  I also have in my late grandmothers collection, this photo which has written on the back 'Mrs McGill, Brown Street, Carlow.'  I am hoping the man is my uncle as to my knowledge he is the only connection Gran had with Carlow.  His name was Thomas O'Rourke and he married May Lavelle.  Anne

Great pic to have... I wonder if there are any archives of Motor car/bike regos that might tell you to whom the bike of that rego number was listed?

Hi Nipy.  Thanks, I will try to google the site you gave me and Charlotte, I had the same idea about the reg no.  I am going to Ireland in a couple of weeks, to Wexford.  Will ask my cousins if they know where to get registration details.  Anne
