Hi Damien - have found my Carlyon info - Edward Kitchin married Eliza(beth) Carlyon at Germoe 10 Feb 1729 (she is most likely the daughter of Thomas Carlane(?) of Germoe & baptised 27 Dec 1706 )

Possibly - its certainly the right area
However, I'm only back to John Carlyon b. 1791 Breage, son of John Carlyon & Ann, who I believe were from Germoe, though I'm not 100%
If anyone has any infro on the Germoe Carlyon's I'd be very interested

Hi there,

I'm new to this so hopefully I'm doing this right    I am related to CARLYONS but doesn't seem to be the ones mentioned in this post.  If anybody has any information they can give me or lead me to, that would be wonderful.  the information I have so far is:
James Carlyon married Maria Jane Connell 18 January 1974 in Spennymore County, Durham.
James was from Cornwall and his father's name was Edward Carlyon.  Edward was married to Sarah Coombes.  I have no information on them - this is just something I have found through many hours of research - getting nowhere    Any info would be helpful.

Can't find these marriages you mention in the indexes, have you a date and place of birth for James or more marriage details for Edward? Its not much to go on to help you I'm afraid

James and Maria Jane were married as above.  His Father was Edward and mother Sarah.  But that's all I know.  James was born in Cornwall.
