Thank you. I have ordered it and put "Vol - R.A. 18 Page 80 Line 84" for my Reference number as nothing was in the Vol etc. part of the order. I also put Father's name as Daniel [?] as I don't know if that is the name of the father for this Catherine - hopefully it is.

Funny thing is I also have a photo of a woman who I believe may be this Catherine and it has her handwriting on the back, if it is her. It says:

"I will send
you a better
one as soon as
I get some done.
This one Dad
had with him
in France.

Your Loving
Mother"

Thank you everyone for your help. Will see what is on the Certificate when it arrives by 'snail' mail to Australia.

I think divided back postcards came in around 1905.  Folks on the photo board would be able to date it for you

Thank you - Catherine SHEA nee GREEN died 1905. Her husband Michael died 3 years later, so if it is her, then Michael SHEA would be 'Dad' and I'm not sure he went to France. He was in the Army and every child was born in a different Army camp.

Just checked his Army Pension records and it looks like the only overseas postings were Gibralter and Mauritius. 2nd & 3rd sons born respectively at those postings. I'd really like to know who this is. Thanks for the advice. I'll follow it up.
