1861 or 1871 look up for John MORGAN born Bridgend 1853

Hi

Don't know if anyone can find John Morgan born 1853 Bridgend in the 1861 or 1871 census to find his family.  Might be too common a name to find him.

By 1881 he is married to Harriet from Cardiff and living Britton-Ferry.
I cannot find their marriage at the moment.

Any info would be great.

i see from the 1881 census john/harriet have a 1 year old child with them also harriet's sister elizabeth stagg is there
so looking for a marr of harriett stagg/john morgan
i can see harriet in 1871 with her parents william/rachel in neath
but i cannot find a marriage that would fit anywhere?

Thanks for the info.  I too assume that Stagg is Harriet's maiden name but cannot find that marriage.

Please, what is the occupation of Harriet's father William in the 1871 census.

Might be the right John Morgan in 1871, as in 1901 census there is a Morris family visiting the Morgans on the night of the census, and in 1871 he is living with Morris family.

on the 1861 census i can only find 2 john morgans born between 1852-1856

unfortunately i cannot find either of these families in 1871 to see if john is still with them
so cannot rule either family out
plus although i cannot find them in 1861 census apart from the 2 posted
there are 15 births of a william morgan in bridgend between 1852-1856.
so do not think i can get any further
unless you can find the marriage of john morgan and harriet stagg(and i have looked without success)
