Lacey of Wicklow

Can anybody search further Wicklow records for possible parents of Patrick Lacey b 1811 Wicklow, or Esther Byrne b 1806.
I have not been able to find marriage details for them but their first child together was born in Wicklow 1834.
They migrated to Australia around 1852-4.

My ggrandmother was Jane Lacy or Lacey, baptised on 7 October 1840 in Baltinanima, Glendalough, parents Philam (aka Felix or Phelim) Lacy & Bridget Brennan.

Jane had 2 sisters and a brother (traced so far): Winifred (1830, Glendalough), Bridget (1836, Glendalough) and James (1842, in Kilquade). The remnants of the family house are next to Altidore.

She married Thomas Downes 15 July 1863 in Kilquade, Wicklow, and died on 23 September 1880. They had 5 children.

In your original post you mentioned that the occupation of your relative was a labourer (mentioned on his son Matthews marriage certificate).  Who did Matthew marry ?  He may be my grandfather

Hi enfield,  I know you posted this info quite a while ago but you mentioned Lacey from Wexford Town who died in WW1  do you have any details of this lacey .

I am trying to trace Lacy/Lacey from Green St on the 1901 census and then living at Slippery Green on the 1911 Census.

On my tree I have  a Roger Leecey  ( Lacy)  m Eleonor Graham. 1831, Patrish of Killaveney, Co Wicklow.
Rogers Address was Rathdrum. Witnesses were Pheelem and Catharine Graham.
Can anyone tell me the anglisation of Pheelem please.
Catherine , dau of George graham and Sarah Kenevan, was baptised in the Parish of Killaveney.
There children were: Jane b 1835, Dublin, Mary b1838, Ellen Agnes b b 1847, Kingston.
I believe Roger may have had a brother John who m Margaret Kinsella, 1869.
I also believe they migrated to Liverpool Eng.
Am interested to correspond with anyone who has a connection.

I am also a gg granddaughter of Bridget Lacey who married Willliam Byrne in Adelaide in 1856. Tracing the Lacey roots has been frustrating. I have just been to Wicklow, where I know William, son of PAtrick and Catherine lived (at least for a time) just outside Aughrim, on townland called Ballymorris. I have bap records for 3 of William's siblings for the parish of Rathdrum.
There are some Leesey (Lacey) people buried in St Bridget's Cemetery at Macreddin outside Aughrim and there are some recorded at Avoca, but no first names I recognise.
There is a Patrick Lacey listed in the 1911 census at Ballymoris lower, which if nothing else might suggest a Lacey presence going back in this area along with the Byrnes. It would explain Lacey's and Byrnes knowing each other when they got to Adelaide. Just a thought.
