Hi Mike thank you so much it always amazes me how you can find these things out I knew there were twins Mary is my great grandma she died 1924 Kilsyth .
I still have no record of Samuel before his marriage in 1859 this Catherine is his Second wife, nor do I have a record of his mother and father James & Catherine until 1861 in Liverpool
If Samuel was born 1836 surely they must be somewhere on the 41-51 census but can I find them no. Again than you for your help  :)

Looking at the other census, I agree with Mike and say it`s tailor.
Compare the first letter with  other S on the page, it`s written differently.
Also Catherine in the workhouse is a seamstress,

Mike, nice pics of the market, my uncle worked for a shop on Town Hill and sold carpets etc on the market,  he was forever known as Bobby Lino. ;D

Hiya  the 1841 and 1851 census found doent look like Sues family .
As James and Catherine are found in 1861/1871 but need to be found in 1841 and 1851.
As Sue states above -Samuel was born around 1838 in England his two Scottish marriage certs state Father-James Fisher ,Occupation -Sailor, Mother-Catherine Lynch/Buchanan this looks like one is Catherines maiden name other a previous marriage?
James birthdate on census consistant with around 1816 Denbighshire, Catherine b-1805 Holyhead,Anglesey(Sue are you sure the James and Catherine in 1861 and 1871 are definately your Samuels parents?)

So whats needed is to find them in 1841 and 1851 James,Catherine and a son Samuel b-1838 England.Im having problems finding them.If James was a Sailor that would explain his absence. But still cant find Catherine and Samuel?

HI Mike, Wilcoxon, and Welsh lady

First off all thank you all for you help

On the 1861 census they have James born 1816 Wrexham Derbyshire but Catherine place of birth Angelsy
So when I first seen this entrance I looked for a record of James in Derbyshire found nothing.
Then trawling through all census for all James's married to a Catherine I came back to this one.
Put through a search with Catherine's details and came up with the 1871 census for wrexham denbigshire as I said before I was surprised to find welsh ancestors I didn't know there was a wrexham in Wales
I then sent off for James death cert of 1876 on the cert it confirms James a sailor
I flowwed Catherine details as they were the more consistent  am I sure these the right James and Catherine I hope so

Many thanks
Sue

James Fisher died 14 Jan 1876 Beastmarket Wrexham informant wife Catherine.

 Mar Qtr 1876 aged 57.
I would try St Giles for a burial, that late on it would be on microfilm, maybe that will also give an occupation.

Looked for Catherine`s death and the closest match for her age is this one.
Deaths Jun 1886  FISHER  Catherine  82  Bridgnorth .
There was no death in Wrexham , maybe relatives came to her aid and took her from the workhouse.

Now if you look back to the 1851 census Mike found, all James daughters are born Bridgnorth.
A clue or a red herring  ???

I also think we may have two James and Catherine`s and these are not the right ones. :-\

HI Sue.  Having realised today that Catherine was in the Wrexham Union Workhouse, I dug out thie representation of what it looked like.  The lines on the right represent the railway line which still runs there today and the site of the workhouse is now the Maelor Hospital.
