It sounds as tho' you are definitely related.   I think my husband's 2xg grandfather, Robert Jerrett, was the youngest brother of your 4xg grandfather, James Jerrett    I think you are also a second cousin of David Jerrett, who contacted me on this thread.

The Jerretts came from a small village in Devon, England called Sandford.   I have them back to c1610.   It was two of the son's of your 4xg grandfather who emigrated to Newfoundland c1860.   They were George Churchill Jerrett b1835 and William Henry Jerrett b 1844.

I know that the father of Ernest Victor Jerrett was Charles Arthur Jerrett, who was the son of George Churchill Jerrett, but I have very little information since then.   Can you tell me more?

Harries is sometimes misspelt Harris.
