What is the reference you have to your Ann Dunn coming from Edinburgh?

Thanks Monica - I'm happy with getting a far back in my line as Thomas Dunn b1769 (my 4th GGF) and likely a son of Archibald ... the roots of that family were farmers in and around Liberton and I guess we'll never know before that

Shirley might not know anything else apart from the name Ann Dunn b1826 in "Edinburgh"
I checked what I know of my set of Dunns, as the location matches, and found that Robert, Thomas' brother had a daughter named Ann that was born in 1826

It's a possible match but I am guessing there may be several Ann Dunn b1826 around Edinburgh (and that's assuming their family history is accurate too)

There was an Ann Dunn born Edinburgh, 1815 & an Anne Dunn born Leith South, 1818 & an Ann Dunn, St Cuthberts, 1820. Charles Hickox was born 1813 from familysearch and Findagrave.

They only appear to have one child, Emma, indicating that she was perhaps older. No age on her grave record on Findagrave.
