1852 marriage
« on: Wednesday 25 March 09 09:47 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for information on the marriage of James Ferrans(sp) and Mary Watters in County Down.

Their 1st child was born in Coatbridge, Scotland in 1856 and subsequent births give the marriage date as November 1852 Co Down.

Hi sancti,

If you go to this site, you will see that Mary Watters was married in a Church Ceremony in 1852. You will also see that a James Fearon was married in a Church Ceremony in 1852.

To see whether they married each other you will have to pay the search fee.

Many thanks for that site Beth

It was the right couple so I have finally got a location for them in County Down

On the transcribed record that I downloaded it gives the church details as

NEWRY Roman Catholic

0 15 0

Do you know what the numbers mean?

Sancti,

I'm not 100% sure, but I think these are LDS (Mormon) references, in some way related to their filming processes.

Similar numbers appear on every record I've accessed myself.
