Ancestors from Kingscourt, Co Cavan

I have very little information to go on - my ancestors were Dennis & his wife Mary Dourney ( ? spelling as they seem to be "Downey"  in the 1891 UK census) ; they left Kingscourt & came to County Durham  but I am unsure of the date when they left Ireland. Anyone any ideas of my next search?
