Hello CJL,

Thank you very much. That is the family. It is Newsome Cross. They were back there in 1861. I was wrong with J= John - it should have been J= James. John would have been 19 and he had already gone by 1851.

John married on 6 Mar 1854 
ASKHAM Mary E   BARRACLOUGH John  Holy Trinity, Rothwell  Leeds RO.

Please see if you can find John in 1851.

Which John are you trying to find in 1851?

John bn 1833 is with Jacob and co on your first post.

Have you seen John on the IGI for 1833 with parents Jacob BARRACLOUGH and Mary ARMITAGE.

I didn't know there was a James so I thought the J =John but it actually was James. So I then thought John was missing. Silly me.

Yes - I purchased a copy of of the marriage record of John and Mary ARMITAGE from the Leeds RO last month. They are my GGG grand parents.
