JAMES W. BUCKLEY
The death of James William Buckley, 80, of 339 Third Street, occurred in the city on Sunday Morning. Born m Arnprior, Ontario, the late Mr: Buckley came to Brandon over fifty years age and has resided here since. Unfortunately it doesn't indicate the actual source.
He was employed by the Canadian Pacific. Railway and retired as conductor fifteen years ago. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Conductors and the Knights. of Columbus. He is survived by his wife and one daughter Margaret. A daughter Ruth, Mrs. Urban Hughes predeceased him in 1951. A sister survives, Mother M. St. Joseph of Our Lady of Missions, Regina. Prayer service will be held at the family residence on Monday at 8 p.m. Requiem Mass will be sung at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are with Brockie-Donovan.
ROSARY TONIGHT–LOCAL WOMAN
A Requiem Mass will be held Wednesday for Mrs. Helena Buckley, 79, of 339 Third Street, who died Saturday.
Mrs. Buckley was predeceased by her husband, James W. Buckley. Born in Arnprior, Ont., she came to Brandon at the time of her marriage in 1906.
She is survived by a daughter, Margaret, of Brandon, and a sister, Mrs. F. W. Rivett of Montreal. Another daughter, Mrs. Urban S. Hughes, died in 1941. Mrs. Buckley was a member of the St. Augustine’s Church and the Catholic Women’s League.
A rosary will be said at her home today at 8 p.m. Mass will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church. Interment will be held at Westlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Brockie-Donovan.
