« on: Friday 18 February 05 09:18 GMT (UK) »
Hello, i would firstly like to say a very big thank you for all the help i ve had from other people on here and the thank you for the time to search for me.....

I have a married couple in 1871 who are actually living in wolverhampton at the time but their eldest daughter was born  coppenhall and they married in cheshire so iam hoping to find them as single people in cheshire....

Fanny Chapman born stockport c.1839 aged 32 on the 1871...
Fanny did in 1880 so i have no other details on her...

James Stubbs born well, each census says something different,in 1871,aged 32 he was born at leighton, in 1881 ,aged 42,he was born at coppenhall, 1891,aged 52, born crewe, 1901 aged 62 he was born at crewe again......

i have a feeling they will be in the birkenhead area on the 1861....please can anyone help me find these two people, many thanks, Abbie x

Hi Abbie
I think I may have found James in 51 and 61 in Monks Coppenhall but not certain is it possible you have the marriage certificate ? in order to have the fathers name to be certain.
With Fanny its more difficult as I cannot find her anywhere in Cheshire in 51 or Stockport 41 or Birkenhead 1861, her birth is on the http://www.cheshirebmd.org.uk/  spelt Fanney 1838 Stockport, again her parents names would be very helpful,as there is a Mary Chapman marrying in the Crewe area 1854 she has a son Samuel born 1836 Stockport. There are not that many Chapmans in Cheshire so I think this may be significant.

Hello Abbie

This might be your James in 1861? But unless we can confirm other names of members of the family.it would be difficult to say for definite.
Fanny might be in service in Wistaston ,but as Peter said without any further details it would be hard to confirm this for definite.

David Stubbs 1860  Coppenhall, Cheshire, England Son  Monks Coppenhall
Elizabeth Stubbs 1815  Sandbach, Cheshire, England Wife  Monks Coppenhall
James Stubbs 1838  Leighton, Cheshire, England Son  Monks Coppenhall  boiler  maker
Jane Stubbs 1845  Coppenhall, Cheshire, England Daughter  Monks Coppenhall
Joseph Stubbs 1851  Coppenhall, Cheshire, England Son  Monks Coppenhall
Mary Stubbs 1849  Coppenhall, Cheshire, England Daughter  Monks Coppenhall
Samuel Stubbs 1857  Coppenhall, Cheshire, England Son  Monks Coppenhall
Thomas Stubbs 1841  Coppenhall, Cheshire, England Son  Monks Coppenhall  butcher
William Stubbs 1812  Leighton, Cheshire, England Head  Monks Coppenhall    farmer of 20 acres
William Stubbs 1847  Coppenhall, Cheshire, England Son  Monks Coppenhall

Do you now have the marriage cert so we can say without a doubt this is him?
Naming his father and giving both their jobs too.

Carol
