Hi Cando'

There is some evidence about too that Phillip SOLOMON might have married JULIA MARKS.

So, no SOLOMON/JULIA MARKS marriage to be seen.

Will wait for Kim to get back to us before I pursue that line ;D
I wonder where the parents, Priscilla and Lewis are located.

Perhaps Kew  :-\  or in an unmarked grave at Melbourne General.  Will send an email.  They may be in the same grave as their son and not noted on headstone.  Strange that parents were not noted on Marcus Henry's death cert.

Thought I had a marriage for Julia to a SOLOMON but found the death and it was not Julia MARKS. :(

Later  -   Searched the GSV GIN records and they are showing Lewis and Priscilla buried at Melbourne in Jewish/G21 and that is the same grave as Marcus Henry.

The reason possibly that there were no parents recorded on Marcus Henry's death cert.  He was a patient at the Kew Asylum.

Hi,

I know

I found three  births It seems that the Julia Marks who married Louis Solomon was a Julia COHEN

SOLOMON Rachael,  Ada, and Sydie
Father: Louis Sydie
Mother: Julia COHEN
Year: 1867# 9790, 1871 #10345 and 1874 #17400

She had been married to a John MARKS and there are 4 children in the index from 1855-1861 for the couple and an 1863 death for a John Marks.

So definitely not th eone.

Hi All,
I do also think it odd that Parents were not shown on the death indexing for HENRY.
It would be interesting to see who the informant was.

His parents had only been dead a couple of years and he certainly had a living sister and brother in law ...... Rebecca and Joel and other relatives. They certainly went to lengths with his MI.

Now another little thing has caught my eye  on Henry's stone...

ELDEST son.....etc.

Have we missed a birth? Could be just a slip of course.

Sue

ADDING.
Yes, Definitely wrong thanks Robyn ::)
