Hi,
I know you left this message along time ago, but I am having trouble finding my Nan's birth certificate.  I knew my nan and spent my school hoildays with her but now I know I do not know much about her at all.  My daughter's middle name is Elizabeth Ann after my nan, but her marriage certificate says Annie Elizabeth with her fathers name was David Paterson and he was a printer.  On her death certifcate she is called Eliazbeth?  Do you still have the certificate could you let me have a copy?

Many thanks
Lynn

Hi Lynn,

Firstly, welcome to RC.

I am afraid that the only details I have are as entered on my post.  I would need your email address to send a copy as an attachment which I am happy to do but you would need to make 3 postings before this can be done.

It is strange how neither of the parents were the informants.

Have you found them on a Census?  I have found it difficult with a surname of Paterson due to the spelling variations & wish you luck :)

Gill

Hi Gill
Thanks for getting back to me, I have just spent the day at Who Do You Think You Are in London.  What a long day..and I got to speak to ask to experts!! Not... I know more than they did, I am very disappointed.  I hoped they would be able to help me find more about my Nan but no.
I can not find them on any census, and like you and the experts at WDYTYR said try all spellings.

sorry I do not understand 3 postings? does this email count as number 2? or can I just send you my email address?
Many thanks
Lynn

Hi Lynn,

Correct, you have now made 2 postings & only need to make 3!  All you need to do then is to go into my 'profile' (this little face on the left of the message) & then go into 'send a personal message' to let me know your email address.

What details to you have for your Grandmother?  Do you know anything else about your family?  I will see if I can find anything about them, they could of course be Scottish with a surname of Paterson.

Post a reply to this & you then have your 3 postings   ;)
