hi thanks for the reply i have found her on the 1851/61 census but iam tryin to find her on the 1901 census to see if she was in the workhouse then. and why she may have ended up there when she lived in quarry bank nr stourbidge.her husband died in 1887 in quarry bank .also i have found her with her husband in 1881.kind regards jayne

If you can find the workhouse records it should tell you when and why she was admitted to the workhouse.
You could try:-
