Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help me find out any further details relating to:

Jeanette Browning Yerbury
Born March 1829
Christened 2/11/1831 at Skinner Street Independent, Poole
Father - William Yerbury
Mother - Harriot

I would like if possible to get enough information to order a birth certificate.

Contact the Superintendent Registrar - I suggest firstly by phone and ask if they are holding those records. They probably are not but will be able to tell you who is

Hack - didn't birth registration begin in 1837, or is there another kind of registration that I'm not familiar with here?

I noticed on the IGI that William and Harriot christened a son named William in 1831 at Skinner Street as well.

Hi Both,

many thanks for the info.  I am trying to track down as much info as possible.  My family has carried the name Browning for many years and it is supposed to trace back to the poet Robert Browning - in some form or another! I know that my great grandmother was a browning yerbury hence the chain.  Any additional information that I can find should hopefully allow me to trace the connection!
