GROSARTS OF COLDSTREAM
« on: Saturday 04 April 09 14:57 BST (UK) »
I have been unable to locate baptism details for Janet Wilson nee Grosart. The 1871 census has her living near Melrose, aged 47, hence born 1823 or 1824, and born in Coldstream. Grosart is an unusual name - means Gooseberry in Scots so far as I know!

Anyone know anything of this lady, her family or origins of the name?

Her baptism is not on SP or the IGI. While I'm not directly related, I have Janet and some of her family in my Ancestry tree. If you send me a PM with your email address I'll send you an invite
