Hi Peter

Thank you for your help yet again, I have found a William Mott baptism at Manchester cathedral in 1818 so that may be him, will check now for his sisters you have found me.

Again many thanks

Jackie

Hi Jackie,
So we have two possible birthyears for William, depending which of the two census rtns we look at. He was born either in 1815 or 1818?
As you know, there was a William baptised 15 November 1818 in Manchester. He was the son of a Joseph & Mary. I have a Joseph who wed a Mary ca 1807, and who had two children - Mary Ann (1808) and Ellina(1810). They were baptised in Church ( the town near Accrington, not a building!). Whether they are the same Joseph & Mary as parents of William 1818 I do not know.
As for Eliza & Caroline, I see nothing to suggest that they were sisters of William. Related maybe?

Hi Fred

How are you?

Found Williams marriage in Stockport in 1838 would they have fathers name on certificate do you think because I can look that up at Stockport library when I go on friday, just a thought do you think that Ellina could be Eliza birth about right?

Not managed to speak as yet to the cousin of Avice tried a couple of times but no reply, his name is Albert Mott, will let you know when I speak to him.

Best wishes

Jackie

Hi Jackie,
Feeling OK today, thankyou for asking. Been snowing here since 8 am, but now sun is out for awhile, so everything is cheerful!
More snow forecast for tonight & Monday though.
I see no reason why the father's name should not be on the marriage certificate for William. Let us hope he is the same William as we are talking about! Usually the only time that the fathers name does not appear is when the child is baseborn or maybe when the father is deceased (although it would probably give both the name and be marked 'deceased').
Personally I do not hold out much hope that Ellina and Eliza are one and the same person, but I guess anything is possible.
All OK your side?

Hi Fred

Glad to hear your feeling ok.

I will check the marriage for William when I go to Stockport library of friday.

No snow here as yet, been quite bright but very cold.

I have brother in Perth on the phone this morning telling me how hot it is there and they are all sat by the pool, mind you with all this rain got more than one pool in my back garden, won't be sitting out though yet.

Regard

Jackie
