My Dear Kris,
Thank you for this wealth of information. Its so important to have such factual evidence.
As I have already said in another post which you would be aware of, that I never imagined to progress so quickly, and, as you say Susie has been most helpful with her local knowledge. However I am sure Susie would  agree with me that J.J. made a striking contribution "some little gems".

Yours sincerely,     Newgent.

Dear Newgent,
Went to the Cemetery today to try and find Archibald's grave site for you and take a photo, however the young lad on duty today was a casual staff member who didn't know how to locate the grave for me in the very large Church of England section. As I was about to venture over and start looking, the heavens opened and the rain poured down so I beat a hasty retreat to my car. ;D ;D ;D

I have now rung the Wollongong Family History contact and he is trying to locate the exact grave site for me, so that when I go back later in the week i will be able to find the grave easily. As soon as I have this information, I will pop in and take the photo for you.

Cheers

Dear Newgent,
Just spoke with the Family History man. He tells me that even though Archibald is listed as being buried at the Wollongong Cemetery, there is no grave location listed. He is chasing up with a relative who lives in Queensland through email and has asked him if he was able to locate Archie.

The Family History man is also checking up in the Pioneers Cemetery listing as well as the listing for the original Church of England cemetery (which is now a rose garden and no headstones remain). He will check all of this when he visits the library on Wednesday, so as soon as he gets back to me, I will let you know.

Cheers
