Does anyone know the name of or anything about a Catholice orphanage in The Bacup area circa 1940.

Sorry no,

but there is a website  www.bacuptimes.co.uk/index.htm, whilst it has lots of information about the town etc, there is a guest book which people post messages on tracing information,  people and family history.

Maybe someone could possibly help there, the person who set up the site, can also be contacted with queries? :)

Hi Aggie,

You could contact Bacup archives and ask if they can help.

What a good idea Jan I will do it now.

I tried the Bacuptimes web site but I have heard nothing yet. I just didn't think to look for an archive.
