STAGG family - Elizabeth
« on: Monday 06 April 09 16:04 BST (UK) »
I am looking for help with two Elizabeth Stagg which is complicated by Stagg Stagg marriage. All in Wiltshire.

I have Edward Stagg/Harriet Eagle whose eldest daughter was Elizabeth born in Great Bedwyn in 1855. The next child, John also born in GB 1857 married (1881) Elizabeth Stagg Born 1855 variously given in Barbury, Wroughton or Broad Town (all in same area) Her parents were George and Ann from the 1861 census.

Is there someone please who can confirm or refute this data?

Thank you for any help

I now have the data I wanted and hopefully it will be of use to other distant relatives.

I have a copy of the Marriage Certificate for John Stagg (parents Edward and Harriet Eagle) and Elizabeth Stagg (parents George and Ann ?).

John while living at home is shown as being born in Burbage, but in later census he says he was born in Milton, but should that be Wilton.

Elizabeth is shown as being born Broad Hinton, but once married says she was born in Barbury (1881) and later Wroughton (1891). All in the same area.

Best regards
