Mary Reynolds/Madden marriage

I have birth certificate of my Gt Grandmother (Charlotte Reynolds) who was born in 1857. Her Mother is known formerly as Madden. The census shows her as born in around 1817 and in possibly Wicking(?) in Bucks. I'm trying to find a marriage index ref to her husband John Reynolds but having problems. USed FreeBDM and the census sites but no luck. Doesn't appear to be any record of a Mary Madden marrying a Reynolds prior to 1857. Any help??

Have you got the reference for the 1861 census? I cant see them

No I don't. I can find them in the 1871 census living in Chelsea but not before. Weird. Stranger that FreeBMD doesn't show any references of a John or William Reynolds and a Mary at any time which possibly suggests a clerical error?

yeah, I know that. I'm trying to track down the marriage info of Mary and John Reynolds. No records of a Mary Madden marrying a John or William.

I was only putting 1871 up so we can see all the info (like where they were born) to give some help to look for 1861, or indeed the missing marriage.
1861 would be good, as it will show if there are older children (that have left by 1871) and if so where they were born, to give an idea of when and where the marriage may or may not have taken place.

Does the birth cert give the mum simply as Mary Reynolds formerly Madden?  No sign of a second marriage lurking?
( I see in 1881 she is Mary A Reynolds RG11 622 115 2)

Ok, checked birth certificate again and it shows MARGARET REYNOLDS, formerly MADDEN. So my bad for not reading it properly  The birth cert shows Father as William Reynolds even though the census states John Reynolds. Found a record for a William Reynolds and Margaret MADDAN married in Stepney Dist December 1850 Vol 2 page 256 so could be the ones. Still no joy on 1841 census and 1851 is not complete yet.
