Look up death of John Macdonald 1869

My great great great uncle John Macdonald ( born in Keith, Aberdeenshire 1847) died in Llanberis on 28/10/1869.   

I cannot find any record of this death, or why he died, or why he was there anyway.

Can anyone find out anything about this tragedy?
