   Hello - my name is Karen Neilands and I have been researching my family tree on Ancestry. My father was Anthony Lindsay Neilands born 1935, we never knew his father but we found out quite recently that he was James Lindsay Neilands born 1881 in Scotland. James married Clara Jane Holmes and they had two children Lindsay and Elsa. Lindsay married Louisa Jarvie Thomson and they had two daughters, Margaret and Jean. I have been trying to find any information relating to them and wondered if you could help.

I can help, but what I know is deduced from what can be found in Free BMD, and the contents of a letter that I received from Jean some years ago. I am reluctant to put the latter data onto an open web site, but if you can find a way of contacting me other than through this medium I will give you what I have.

PS: I have no record of your father's birth in my extensive Neilands data base, and cannot find your grandfather James in the 1911 census
