Hi naffi girl

I can see Matthew in the 1861 census (I think!) - is that the  information you are looking for?  Or are you looking for his children?

Hi there everyone

Thank you for your help finding Matthew Bellamy. I have been away for a few days and late answering you.
Can you please see if you can find Matthew on the 1841 census so I can find out his parents names.

If not can you see if he is on the 1871 census please.

Regards

If Matthew was born in 1854 and he doesn't appear with his parents on the '61 then the '71 might not help either (he could be working away from home for example). Also bear in ming that the mother in the '71 (if quoted) may be a stepmother.

His birth is on freebmd so you could go for the cert via the GRO with the reference or via Lincolnshire registration services by quoting just the year and district.

Hi all,

Best I can find in 1871:
RG10/3344 76 3
Boston, Lincolnshire
Skirbeck Quarter

Mathew Bellmew, serv, 17, b. Lincs Saltfleetby

in the household of Frederick Erett, Innkeeper

Searching the 1861 census for other Bellamys born Coningsby, I can only find one Rosanna Bellamy, age 10, also visiting somewhere.

Tracing her back to 1851:
HO107/2108 308 63
Coningsby, Lincolnshire
Susan Bellamy, head, wid, 70, Annuitant, b. Billinghay
Sarah, dau, unm, 26, b. do.
Susan, granddau, 8, scholar, b. do.
Emma, granddau, 6, scholar, b. Boston
Mary Motley, serv, 17
Rosanna Bellamy, granddau, 4 mo, b. Coningsby

So Matthew may or may not belong to this family and even if he does, we don't know who would be his mother/parents ... I agree you need the birth cert  :)

That was the only possible reference I could find to Matthew in the 1871 census Tati.

This looks like his birth registration

Dec 1854   Bellamy  Matthew Holmes     Horncastle  7a 448

Do let us know what the certificate says naffi girl.

Barbara
