Hi Cyndy

Thanks for the update on Lambs Hill Farm. I had a look at google maps and interestingly the directions you were given seem to fit quite well as Eastfield Farm is right near Fox Lane where I saw the place of worship on the map and of course possibly the Rectory nearby.

I have a copy of the 1940 Selby almanac/directory, and Lamb's Wood Farm was still there in Chapel Haddlesey then. It was a family called Westaby living there in 1940.
I've also checked the 1964 and 1970 directories, but can't find any reference to that address by then  ???

Thanks for the info. on Lambs Wood Farm. I`m not sure how long my grandparents and their family lived and worked at the farm or when they left.I think that they were in Wales in 1926 but still visited their Yorkshire relatives.Perhaps by the 1960`s Lambs Wood ceased to be a working farm. Are there any buildings on the site of the original farm?
