we know very little about our george he was definitely born torthorwald  to an inmarried mother isabella brown kerr no father listed his mother was my great grannys sister  he had a sister janet who died at 18 months buried in the family grave in mouswald  had a sister ellen or helen who went to canada brother john born 1901 who died here in dumfriesshire his mother later married hugh mcghee and they had a daughter agnes 1912  i remember agnes well  i only  know about george and helen from an elderly aunt who is a bit vague  i know george and helen were with foster parents named porter at police house collin when they were small  we wondered what happened to them hey had a very bad start to their lives csc
