This Arsenal player dated at 1922 is wearing that kit

But so did players quite a few years earlier - that's the problem

the draw string and the shorter shorts came in circa 1901.

I haven't scoured the Arsenal teams, but a brief looks seems to point to it being used after WWI.

As i keep saying the type of clothing was about from 1901 until the 1920s. Just because Arsenal wore that strip in 1922 doesn't mean that it was just that year.
