CHARLTON in Gwent (Monmouthshire) from 1850
« on: Tuesday 14 April 09 09:17 BST (UK) »
My great-grandfather John CHARLTON was born in Nunney, Somerset in 1826 and like many, chose to join the industrial revolution and 'migrated' to Blaina (eventually emigrating in the late 1850s to South Australia).
I believe there are descendants of this CHARLTON family (i.e. my cousins) still living in South Wales - indeed I have identified one in Newport.

Anyone have any other knowledge or connections?  All info gratefully received as this is a quite small CHARLTON branch - most of them live in the northeast of England!
