Immigration Help Please - DELACOUR & STEEL

Hi All

I've hit a brick wall on these two.  Can't find when they arrived in OZ.  I've checked all websites that I know without success.

Samuel (aka Frank) Delacour (aka De La Cour)  b c1827 in Holland.  Arrived c1851, was in the goldfields.

Margaret Gordon Steel  b1832 in Montrose Scotland.  Arrived c1854

They married at Chewton Victoria in 1856.

All the above info taken from their marriage and death certs.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Two pieces of information I have come across but they may well not be very helpful!
On IGI is a Samuel De La Cour b 1827 Montrose, Angus, Scotland.  It is a submitted record though which are often not reliable.  I don't know if the Scotland's People site is helpful for that date - I don't have any credits with them so can't help.

There is a couple arriving August 1857 on the Undaunted, Thomas, 30 and Emily, 34,  Delacour.  The disposal list says 'gone with sister' , address Melbourne.  I cannot see any further BMDs for Thomas and Emily though.  And they are probably a complete red herring!

I assume you have all the children etc. for Samuel and Margaret.

Yep, I've seen that entry on IGI and whoever submitted it should be @#$%^&*&^%$# because they have obviously not done the basic research.  Samuel's wife Margaret comes from Montrose so I think that is where that mix up comes from.  You see on their marriage cert  his native place is quoted as Holland. 

I'm afraid Thomas & Emily are a red herring.

Yes I have all the kids thanks.

Yep - thought it would be useless information 

However I also looked at Dutch BMDs and couldn't find him there either but I have no idea when civil registratin started there.  As well, the entries are in Dutch so it was double dutch to me
