The first 2 transcriptions - Joshuas - are the same as the 1901 findings .... looks like Josh snr moved back from Dovercourt then to Yarmouth ?

The Arthur F you show in a Lighthouse wasnt previously mentioned - and wasnt with either family in 1901.

Are you asking if Arthur was also a son of Joshua snr ?

Arthur the lighthouse keeper my grandfather. I have a trinity house service record so I have a list of the main Lighthouses where he was stationed.

I think we've lost sight of the wood for the trees - the above were trying to help you ascertain if Arthur was a son of Joshua & Mary.

I guess looking at your 1st post, you want the 'Herbert' question cleared up for the younger Joshua ?

I still think its a mistake on the Marriage Index entry as mentioned earlier.

You'd have to get the marriage Cert to see if it gave more clues - or better yet, examine the Tendering District's original registers to see if the Albert got changed to Herbert when it got reported in the quarterly returns to the GRO ?

I agree many mistakes where made. As you can see Joshua Hambling his wife is listed according to the 1901 census coming from Tilby Norfolk. The 1911 census has her coming from Maulby. With help I now know it should be Filby.

I would be grateful if you have the names of the other Lighthouse keepers that served with my Grandfather; I have one other listed from the 1911 census which is Sydney C Warder Single aged 23 from Haisbro Norfolk? I can’t find this place. The reason I would like to know is my grandparents had lots of photos of various people from Trinity House but failed to write on the photo backs. I would love to be able to put names to these faces as you never know someone might be looking for such an item.

I'm not sure I can remember how to read Latitude 53-8-30 North
Longitude 2-1-30 East  can you hepl me please.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed.
