Decipher & Translate Please (Old French Or Latin?)

I've been lucky enough to recieve a scan of the baptism of my 6xG Grandfather, Jean Baptiste CONINCK.
Only it's in French (Old French I guess) from 1706.
Would anyone be so kind as to have a stab at deciphering, transcribing and translating please?
I believe his parents to be Guilluame CONINCK and Catherine VERLYNDE.

I've various alternatives to CONINCK:
CONNINCK, KONYNCK, de CONINCK, DECONINCK

Not that I can read 18th century French, but I had a look 'cos I'm nosy. My quick reaction is that this is written in Latin, I think. I still can't read it, but it may help a bit.

It is definitely Latin but I just can't read a lot of it, other than the odd word. It definitely records the baptism of Jean Baptiste Coninck, son of Catharine Verlynde and William Coninck, and there's some text in the latter section where the word "natum" appears (meaning "was born") so I suspect the latter half is in some way giving some details of his birth. Frustratingly I can't read any more of it. There are probably experts out there who are more used to reading old Latin and who might be able to understand more.

It is Latin and as far as I can make out, it says:

On the 6th day of November in the year one thousand and seventy* six (??) I baptised John Baptiste son of Cahterine Verlynde ?future ....  ...... William Coninck
* this word does look like the Latin 'septuagentesimi'  which is not quite the true Latin for seventy or the Latin for seven hundred!
I can make out isolated words, like etiam (furthermore or also); solutum (unmarried); ?mortuum (dead); natum (born); ?eodem (the same) die (day); circa (about); ...

and then I get lost, although 'Joannis baptista' appears again.

Hmm ... I don't think it can be 1076. I was under the impression that dates weren't written like that then, but as regnal years - "the fourth year of the reign of our glorious king Henry ..." - that kind of thing.

Jean Baptiste married  in 1744 and died c1757 and fathered at least 6 children between 1746 and 1755.
Could the word be a misspelling of "seven hundred and six"?
Does this entry seem to indicate that Jean Baptiste's parents were unwed? Jean Baptiste's father's first wife died in 1705.

Maybe the person writin got confused whether he should write "seven hundred and six" or "seventy and six" - I guess it just shows that we're all human =)
