Oh good !    She's back online ... for the moment !

Its nice, isn't Indi, when 'the young' are really good, kind, helpful people ... I think we all are guilty of assuming anyone without a bus pass is a lout !   But not Matt94 ... he's a gem ... he'll go far !

I think it is the Henley Road one - my Great-Grandfather, 'Grampy', as he was known, was buried in 1979 at 'a cemetery' after cremation at the same place. According to my parents, it's the Henley Road one. I don't know if the London Road one does cremations but I can't any either way.

Well there's an excuse to go to the cem - I want to see Grampy's grave  :)

I'm not sure when I'll be able to get there though, possibly next weekend. Is that ok? I have French coursework to do - Speaking exam on tuesday  :o :o :o

The pub - it wasn't the Wee Waif was it?

The only pub in Reading I can find is a Wee Waif so that's a possible?

It's on the Bath Road in Charvill so you probably did pass it on the way to M4  :)

Good that Matt will be able to do it.

I have just had a message that my brother will not be able to get out that way for a while.

Hi russethouse,

After looking at pics on google - YES - I'm certain that it is the crem on Henley Rd.

It was all such a shock when it happened that I never did note the address.

If you could just take a quick pic for me of the garden - I will be forever in your debt.

If you can get a pic - send me a PM and I will give you my email.

I shall love you forever!

Aww ... don't be disappointed Matt ... why don't you take some pics too ?

I've had pictures from two RootsChatters of a place I was interested in ... and one lot were different to the others; showed different angles, etc., so why not do some too ?   Everyone has a different take on things ... and they all add up to the whole picture !   :)

Hi Matt,

I didn't mean to snub you - just didn't want you to make a special trip - but, if you are going to see gramps anyway - please take some photos. Thanks so much.
