Census help please 1861 & 1851 BURGESS
« on: Saturday 19 February 05 23:20 GMT (UK) »
Could I please ask if I could have a look up for a Thomas BURGESS born 1835 at Lymm. He is on the 1871 census in Lancashire, but may have still be in Cheshire for the 1861 & 1851 census. Thomas's parents are George and Ann BURGESS. I would be grateful for any help with this family.

Thank you   :)

The details of the 1871 census.
Thos C Burgess  Age: 36. b.Lynn, Cheshire, England. Head.
Jane C Burgess   27 Lynn, Cheshire, England Wife
Arthur Burgess   5 Manchester Son
Mary Burgess   2 Liverpool Daughter

My guess is they were married abt 1865/66.

Thomas's brother George Chesworth Burgess  Age: 33. b. Old Trafford, Lancashire, has the mother Ann Burgess  Age: 67. Widow. b. Urmston, Lancashire living with him in 1871. There are 2 other brothers, Henry. b. 1843 Lancashire and Verney, I only have a chr date of 1856.

I was hoping to find Ann's husband George still alive on the 1851 & 1861 census.

Thanks.
