Hi

I hope that someone can advise me, please?

I have read a lot about copyright issues, but there is somethinmg I'm not sure about.

I have started a website for one line of my family history.
I'm keeping it relatively private ~ it is just for invited family members.

There is a page for submitting photographs, and some members have posted images of certificates ~ death, marriage, medal, etc.

Is this OK?
Are we allowed to post images of our relatives' BMD certificates & other documents?
What about census images?
I would really appreciate some clarification on this issue.

Hi

I would suggest you contact the National Archives for clarification re census images but suspect that as others have access then you may need some form of licence as it constitutes publishing.
