Hi JeannieR

Sorry forgot to mention that William and Ellen and baby John left London on board the "Dacca" on 17 January 1884.  John Stack was still alive when they married on 26 January 1882 - his occupation Labourer.

Hi! I'm new here, and saw this post. I have family from Meelin, the O'Sheas, and I may have O'Keefe and/or McAuliffe. The reason I am posting is that one of my O'Sheas married a girl named Annie Golden, and when I saw your Gould post, I was wondering. I've been told Golden was Gould in Ireland. If any of this sounds familiar, please post back and we can compare notes. Thanks so much!!

Kitty :)

Hi Kitty

I have not come across and Goulds or O'Shea yet but I keep an open door as I am sure there will be a connection somewhere.  I am hoping to visit Meelin in April next year.

John Stack , married Johanna COLLINS in 1833

The children they had, were.......

Garrett Stack 1835
Catherine Stack 1839
Ellen Stack 1842
Margaret Stack 1846.....
and your William , 1849

I have all the details of their baptisms

I have found that Garrett Stack died in Queensland in 1926.

Only found all this information yesterday, so hope it is all relevent to you ?

Do's this mean we are cousins ??

Dear Jeannie

Hope wonderful is this! Yes we are related.  Our Garrett died on 6 August 1924, he had gone to Chinchilla to visit William and died there.  His body was returned to Toowoomba where he was living and was buried on 8 August.  William died in Chinchilla 9 months later in Chinchilla on 21 April 1925.  William had 2 daughters a Margaret and a Catherine who was called Kate.

Did you get a film from LDS?  I tried one once but found nothing I must have been looking  in  the wrong area.

Happy to exchange any information or help out in any way.
Regards
Jackie
