I'm pleased to report that Bendigo library have sent me copies of the death & funeral notices that appeared in the Bendigo Advertiser,14th & 15th July 1980.
Furthermore I have received a response from Bendigo Cemetery Trust & now have the reference number for Jane's grave; Lawn 5,grave no.46162.
Jane Palmer Taylor was also known as Margaret Jane Taylor apparently.She never remarried.
Greatful thanks to all who helped me get this far in my search!

So pleased you had a good result.  Many country deaths are only announced in local papers, that is why I suggested that you contact the library. 

If you wanted a photo of her plaque, [if there is one]  there is a volunteer on this website who photographs tombstones in Bendigo.

I have been doing family research and looking into the history of William Taylor and Jane Payne. I've only just come across this conversation and see you were researching them too. As a family member, I've done a lot of research on William, on Jane and on that generation of the Taylor family. I'd be interested in exchanging any information on the family.
